new slideshow: winter storm

robyn and i took some pictures of the effects of the recent snowfall in victoria and i've put them together in a new slideshow. check out the link in the sidebar. overnight last night we received another couple of inches, causing total mayhem here on the island: cars in ditches, school closures, bc transit stopped the buses, etc. most areas of the south island received between 12 and 24 inches by the time the snow stopped for good this afternoon. - rory
